The 2024-2025 League Championships took place on the 16th March and was yet again a well-attended and well-run event.
STTC players featured in several events.
Pumas’ star player, James Davies-Stokes, who hadn’t lost a single set all season would have been the clear favourite but was unable to attend, as was Matt Hutson, which left the open singles a bit more – er, open.
Andrew Dosher did well to feature in both the Open Singles and the Veteran Singles finals, but was unlucky to finish runner-up in both, which explains the lack of cheesy grin!
Steve Annison won the Open and Steve Stolworthy won the Veterans event.

Louie Bayes, however, did win the Junior Singles, beating Eli Coates-Dale 11-3, 11-3, 11-7

Given the Jaguars complete dominance, it was fitting that both finalists in the Division Two event were from that team. Chris Smith overcame Louie to clinch it.
And the Division 3 title went to Bobcats player, Paul Farmer.

Matt Beales was runner-up in the Restricted to Steve Stolworthy, the latter really being too good to be in the restricted event but, as is sometimes the way, disappointing early season results gave him a misleadingly low win percentage – hence his inclusion.
