Alex wins Jepson Award

At the Bury league AGM, the League Committee awarded STTC player, Alex Gosling, the Nigel Jepson Memorial Trophy for the most promising Junior player in the Bury St Edmunds League Last season.

Playing for Stowmarket Tigers, he lost only one of his 21 matches. That’s remarkable enough but, when asked to play up for Pumas, he also beat some of the best Division One players.

This season, he is playing for Pumas and we hope Alex continues his impressive form and continues to improve even more.

Luke wins County Player of the year award, 2022

Following Luke Davies-Stokes triumph in the Suffolk County 2021/22 Senior ‘Closed’ Table Tennis Championships in March (see report), Luke Davies-Stokes was awarded ‘Player of the Year’ by the County Committee in July.

Luke has now (temporarily, we hope) left the area to go to University and we wish him every success in both his studies and his table-tennis.
